A Form Three school girl from Zaka who was having an affair with an unemployed youth hanged herself after a blazing row.
The girl lost her will to live and killed herself in Chiredzi at a friend’s place where the two used to have sex.
Both Erimond Makotore (23) and Kudzayi Mujeki (18) stay in Zaka with Kudzayi attending school at Mataruse High. The two went to Chiredzi last Friday and camped at Makotore’s friend’s one roomed lodgings.
Sources said they were camped at the place throughout the weekend, busy as rabbits, playing the bedroom pumping game. Neighbours said there was some misunderstanding on Sunday evening and the pair was fighting the whole night.
At around 9am, Mujeki allegedly used a belt to hang herself. Makotore who reported the matter to the Police said that he found his girlfriend hanging in the room where they had quality time throughout the weekend after he had gone to look for money for her transport back to school.
Mujeki stayed in Dzoro Village in Chief Bota’s area in Zaka Makotore lived in Dzarimwa Village in Chief Nyakunhuwa’s area.
Masvingo Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the incident and said that the case is still under investigation and the deceased’s body is at Chiredzi General Hospital for post-mortem.
