President Uhuru Kenyatta has today let the cat out of the bag by telling US President Barrack Obama that Kenya is a nation that is focused on development and believes that homosexuality is a non-issue.
Responding to an AFP journalist in a joint press conference at State House, Nairobi, tough speaking Kenyatta said though Kenya and US share many values, there are some that the two countries never shares.
“Kenya and the United States share so many values but there are others that we don't. The gay issue is a non issue,” Uhuru said.
The father of the nation said Kenyans have so many problems to tackle and homosexuality is not one of them.
On whether, Kenya is looking East or West, Uhuru said Kenya is neither looking East of West but looking for progress.
Obama on his part congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta for his braveness towards fighting corruption which he said has derailed Kenya’s economic growth.
He said his Government will help Kenyatta’s administration in fighting corruption that has infiltrated Kenya’s public and private sectors.
